Around the Ship - Universal Lounge & Explorers

This lounge is equivalent to the Vista Lounge.  Gone are the days when there used to be an alternate guest entertainer and you could always see an early show and a later.  The venue now is mainly used for daytime trivia, Zumba, line dancing and bingo. 

  In the evenings is mainly used for the Ships bands performances and dancing… but alas I have not been here after dark yet.  

The lounge is spread out over 2 floors.

The lounge was also used for the Captain Circle Party

The one show they did have in there was On The Bayou, which was originally designed for the Universal Theatre. A colourful and lively show put on by the production team.

Explorers Bar

Another lovely bar mid ship, here they hold the Elite & Suite lounge each evening between 4.30 – 6.30pm.  After that it becomes the venue for the evening trivia and game shows.  

Most evenings we met up with our friends for drinks at the Elite Lounge for nibbles and drinks before Dinner.  During these 2 hours the ship sets up a small station of nibbles each night and there is a special drinks menu that is probably only about $1 cheaper than the other bars.
